Malmö Ideella brings together and strengthens an active civil society in Malmö. Malmö Ideella works for the opportunities and power of associations and idea-driven organizations – for a sustainable Malmö.
The organization was founded in 1945 because of the need for activities for youth immigrants that came to Sweden during and after WWII. Since then the organization has developed in many ways and always has been an actor that collaborate with different sectors and other non-profit associations/organization for the benefit of the citizen of Malmö.

Support and service
In several different ways, Malmö Ideella works to support, train and enable associations and the non-profit sector in Malmö:
– Förening.se; a web-page where associations can get support in make their
documents better and more.
– Multilingual about association life; tools that for example help newcomers to
understand how associations works, how you can be active and what benefits it can give you.
– Association pool Malmö; a pool that helps associations develop.
– UL; developing leadership for people representing different sectors.
– Engagera Mera Malmö; a tool to support newcomers in finding missions to
become a volunteer.
Place for collaboration
At Föreningscenter Nobel 21, associations can rent offices and have meetings and events, and develop in cooperation with actors from different parts of society.
