RWI is a no-profit organization aimed at fostering the social integration of refugees through the mobilization of the civil society.
Since its establishment in 2015, RWI has been supporting hundreds of citizens to accompany refugees in their path toward autonomy. The idea laying behind our work is that social relationships are crucial to foster the full inclusion of those who are forced to flee. We have been joining different projects in the framework of the AMIF fund and beyond, as we firmly believe in the so-called whole of the society approach: inclusion requires the involvement of all the sectors of the society, beyond those engaged in the humanitarian field.
The purposes of RWI’s work:
Engage with European, national and local authorities to improve the immigration policies and to encourage the inclusion of community-based programs in the local and national policies.
foster the social inclusion of refugees and beneficiaries of other forms of protection through community-based programs (family-based reception and mentoring schemes).
Facilitate mutual knowledge and intercultural exchange, in order to overcome fears, prejudices and create a more inclusive and open society. Change the mainstream narrative about migration
